The Centre of Excellence for International Courts (iCourts) and PluriCourts (Centre for the Study of the Legitimate Roles of the Judiciary in the Global Order) are hosting a high-level summer school for PhD students working on international courts in their social and political context. We particularly welcome students whose PhD thesis involves a focus on methods and interdisciplinary.

The iCourts/PluriCourts PhD summer school is based on the principle of active participation from PhD students. Summer school participants are expected to take an active part in the scholarly discussions – and will have the chance to debate their work with some of the best scholars in the field. As part of the summer school, students will also participate in group work and exercises aimed at building the skills and knowledge needed to write the best possible PhD dissertation and to successfully plan and execute an academic career.

Based on intellectual curiosity, active participation and the presentation and discussion of your own work (as well as that of  other PhD students), the summer school offers a unique chance for strengthening your PhD research through hands-on, constructive and informal debate with experienced researchers in your field, especially with regards to its methods and interdisciplinary elements.

The summer school takes place in sunny and lively Copenhagen 17-21 June 2019. The deadline is February 1. Apply here.
